Wisconsin will always hold a special place in my heart because it’s the first state that Dr. Smiles (then Swamps) and I lived as a married couple. It was a surreal experience living in a snow globe, especially considering that last winter we accumulated over 85 inches of snow. Minus the extended winter wonderland, Wisconsin is beautiful country and worth a visit. For a Midwest state, it has lots of natural beauty, with plenty of nature parks and lakes to keep you occupied during the short spring and mild summer.
In an effort to attract more visitors, the State of Wisconsin adopted a new slogan (for it at least) – “Live Like You Mean It.” The slogan isn’t exactly new as several motivational speakers, authors, health food gurus, and wine and spirit makers have already used the phrase in marking campaigns.
