Prior to the game I told everyone that this game would either be really close or a blowout as the Gators wanted revenge from last year’s celebration. Unfortunately, the Bulldogs contributed to the blowout with multiple costly turnovers and untimely penalties. Bad calls by the referees also contributed to the blowout as Florida got away with defensive holding that led to an interception and offensive holding that led to a touchdown.
Stranger things have happened, but it appears as if the Dawgs run for a SEC Title and National Title is all but extinguished as the Gators hold a commanding lead in the SEC East and there are just too many quality teams ahead of Georgia in the BCS standings. It looks like the Georgia will be headed to non-BCS bowl this season.
I’m really disappointed by the Bulldogs’ lost, not just because it’s Florida, but because they really underperformed in another big game on a national stage. It really burned to watch the Gators’ do their stupid gator chomp at the end of the game and watch the multiple close ups on Florida’s Tim Tebow.
