Who's #2

The Atlanta Hawks are Joe Johnson's team. From the games I've seen, in person and on TV, he's their main scorer, averaging 28.7 points per game, and he's the go to guy when the game's on hte line. Recently, Hawks doctors have told the media that Johnson will be out the lineup at least until Wednesday, December 13 because of a sore right calf muscle. Hawks' coach Mike Woodson extended Johnson's unavailability until Friday, December 15. As a result, Johnson will miss away games against the New York Knicks and Memphis Grizzlies.

Johnson's unavailability will test the character of the remaining Hawks roster. Who will step up to fill Johnson's void and led the Hawks to victory? The Baby Birds lack a consistent second scoring and defensive option. Dynamic pairs typically rule the NBA. Just think about it - Michael and Scottie, Shaq and Kobe, David Robinson and Tim Duncan, and finally Shaq and Wade. The next three games against Denver, New York, and Memphis shoudl hopefully provide an opportunity to step up and be a consistent second option on a team that needs one.
