#22 Georgia 6, #24 South Carolina 17

One thing I learned from today's game is South Carolina's true freshman running back Marcus Lattimore is the truth as he ran through tackles as he rushed for 182 yards. While the Gamecocks' ran well, UGA's running back was a non-factor and liability. Washaun Ealey finished with 75 rushing yards off 19 carries. I realize this was his first game of the season, but he played flat. Unfortunately for Ealey, he committed a key fumble on the goal line that essentially killed the Bulldogs' offensive momentum and chances for a comeback.

This was my first time watching Aaron Murray play, and I was really impressed with her performance. He looked posed and confident, finishing 14 of 21 for 192 yards. What impressed me the most was his ability to convert long third downs. Murray distributed the ball well passing to 7 different Dawgs - Kris Durham (3 for 76 yards), Marlon Brown (2 for 40 yards), Tavarres King (3 for 28 yards), Logan Gray (2 for 22 yards), Orson Charles (2 for 17 yards), Fred Munzenmair (1 for 11 yards) and Washaun Ealey.

The Junkyard Dawgs started off shakey, but settled down and actually played fairly well, sacking the Chickens' quarterback 5 times and forcing 1 fumble. Their only problem, which proved to be really big, was their inability to tackle and stop USC's rushing attack.
