Georgia 30, #7 Georgia Tech 24

Georgia suffered through a lackluster regular season, but how sweet is the ending as the Bulldogs stunned the #7 Yellow Jackets 30-24. My game ball goes to the entire Bulldog team who executed a perfect game plan - maintain possession of the ball through hard nose running. The offensive line looked nasty as they opened up running lanes for tailback tandem Washaun Ealey (183 yards) and Caleb King (166 yards) who rushed for a combined 349 yards. The Bulldogs finally used Joe Cox as a game manager and not as a featured player as Cox finished 8 of 14 for 76 yards, 1 touchdown, and 0 interceptions. Kicker Blair Walsh went 3 of 4 on field goals and scored a bulk of UGA's points in the second half.

The G-Day Defense played out of their mind as they held Tech's high octane triple-option rushing attack to 204 yards. Reshad Jones made up for last year's missed tackle, as he pulled down an impressive interception. Additionally, the defense forced a fumble that led to a field goal. In addition to efficient offense and tough defense, Georgia played disciplined football as they only committed 5 turnovers for 39 yards.

As a fan of the Dawgs, this win feels really good as the Yellow Jacket fans have been unbearable since their 3 point win last year. Hopefully, they'll be more humble after their lost to the flagship university of the State of Georgia - GO DAWGS!
