Georgia 17, #1 Florida 41

The score speaks for itself - Georgia was once again embarrassed by Florida yesterday. What once was an evenly matched rivalry and fun game to watch has become a nightmare of a game where the Gators humiliate the Dawgs on an annual basis.
Prior to the game, I held strong in the belief that the Bulldogs could stock the world an upset the "mighty" Gators. This season's Florida is good, but they're not nearly as dominating as last year's national title team. I believe they could've been beaten by a well rested, disciplined, and dedicated UGA team. Unfortunately, that Bulldog team didn't travel to Jacksonville.
The Gators deserve credit for the win, but they didn't do anything special. Georgia's poor and undisciplined play essentially gave the game away. Every time the Bulldogs generated a first down on offense, or stopped a big third down on defense, the team committed a penalty to negate the accomplishment. You'd think Georgia would've learned its lesson from the UT game; marginal (and good) teams capitalize on mistakes. A team that fails to execute loses bad. Yesterday's game proves this point once again.
Joe Cox appears to be digressing as a player. I want to give Cox the benefit of the doubt, but it may be time to pull the plug on his tenure as a starter. It may be time to start the Logan Gray or Aaron Murray era. Cox has the effort and determination, but he lacks the talent, strength, presence, and vision to led UGA to any type of championship. He finished 11 of 20 for 165 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 3 of the worst interceptions I have ever seen.
Cox's poor play is partially contributed to UGA's lack of running game. The offensive line provides little push, and tailbacks Washaun Earley (70 yards), Richard Samuel (40 yards), and Caleb King (19 yards) lack consistency. A team that only rushes for a combined 121 yards is not going to win in the SEC. I realize that all three are young and not Knoshown Moreno, but at some point they need to step up.
Georgia needs a new defense. An overhaul has to occur this offseason.
On a positive note, I dig the black helmet and britches. It was pleasant surprise and much like the black jerseys, I'd like to see the team wear them once or twice a season. I'm a hurt Dawg fan today, but I still maintain the faith that my beloved Bulldogs will return to dominance.

Florida is the best team out there right now Georgia did not deserve to be on the same field as Florida did that day!
