It took seven (7) games, but the Atlanta Hawks are heading to the second round of the NBA Playoffs after defeating the Miami Heat 91-78 at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. This was the organizations first seven-game series win in 39 years. The win was based on offensive and defensive team and hard hitting play. Team captain Joe Johnson finished with a team-high 27 points on 10 for 19 shooting.Unfortunately, the Hawks and their fans don’t have much time to celebrate because their next opponent is the Cleveland Cavaliers featuring LeBron James.
