It took seven (7) games, but the Atlanta Hawks are heading to the second round of the NBA Playoffs after defeating the Miami Heat 91-78 at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. This was the organizations first seven-game series win in 39 years. The win was based on offensive and defensive team and hard hitting play. Team captain Joe Johnson finished with a team-high 27 points on 10 for 19 shooting.
Unfortunately, the Hawks and their fans don’t have much time to celebrate because their next opponent is the Cleveland Cavaliers featuring LeBron James.
