Earlier today U.S. Representative John Lewis (D-Ga.) along with four (4) other members of Congress were arrested for civil disobedience as part of a protest against the humanitarian policies of Dafur, Sudan, Africa. Congressman Lewis and other were arrested after crossing a police line and refusing to leave the restricted area in front of the Sudanese Embassy in Washington, DC.
It’s good to know that Representative Lewis is still not afraid to spend some time in jail for the cause. Almost 500,000 people have died during the conflict in Dafur.
