Tebow Does the (Un)Thinkable

Ordinary college players with Tim Tebow’s credentials would try their luck in the NFL draft, but Tebow’s already proven he’s no ordinary player. Earlier today Tebow announced he’d return to Florida for his senior season. With Tebow’s return, the Gators’ will probably be preseason #1 and definitely be favored to dominate UGA at the annual cocktail party.

As a Georgia fan, I was hoping Tebow would head to the NFL so the Dawgs wouldn’t have to face him anymore, but that apparently won’t be case. I guess in some respect, I guess I don’t blame Tebow for returning because his draft placement is questionable and it could be a possibility that he could go un-drafted. At least by coming back, Tebow will cement his legacy as an All Time Gator great, especially if he has another All-SEC season. Tebow’s had a great college carrier – National Title as a freshman, Heisman Trophy as a sophomore, and National Title as a junior. This past season Tebow completed 64% of his passes for 2,746 yards with 30 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. Additionally, he led the Gators in rushing with 673 yards and 12 touchdowns.
