Throughout this presidential election Senator John McCain’s central criticism of Senator Barack Obama has been his alleged lack of experience. He’s questioned how a six (6) term Illinois state senator and a one (1) term U.S. senator can be the leader of the nation’s greatest democracy.
With all this being said, Senator McCain’s vice presidential choice of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is contradictory to his message of the danger of inexperience as her political experience is about as thin as it gets on a national level. Governor Palin’s experience consist of two (2) terms on the Wasilla, Alaska city council, two (2) terms as Wasilla mayor, and two (2) years as governor Alaska, which has a population a little smaller than Cobb County, Georgia.
Senator McCain’s choice of running mate negates any argument he’s made against Senator Obama because his choice has less experience than Senator Obama and has no experience in foreign relations. Therefore, a McCain / Palin ticket is far less qualified than a n Obama / Biden ticket.
