#3 Georgia 27, Arizona State 10

The big question all last week was how the Georgia Bulldogs would handle their big trip out west to play Pac-10 powerhouse Arizona State. The Dawgs answered the question with a strong showing in the desert. Running back Knowshon Moreno continued to make a case for Heisman consideration with 149 yards and 2 touchdowns, and quarterback Matthew Stafford went 16 of 28 for a career high of 285 yards and 1 touchdown. True freshman wide receiver A.J. Green (pictured) had a coming out party catching 8 passes for 159 yards and 1 touchdown.

The G-Day defense looked amazing, only allowing the Sun Devils 4 yards rushing on 19 carriers. They also sacked the Arizona State’s quarterback Rudy Carpenter 4 times and hurried him several times. Although the G-Day defense racked up over 100 yards in penalties, you can’t hate a team that’s aggressive and attacking the ball.

The #8 Alabama Crimson Tide travels to Athens next week to take on the Dawgs between the Hedges. The Tide is playing strong this season with impressive wins over Clemson and Arkansas. This will be Georgia’s first action against a SEC West opponent, and they’ll definitely be expected to roll over the Tide on their quest for the national title.
