On June 27, 2008, UGA VI passed away of congestive heart failure in his home town of Savannah, Georgia. UGA VI had the best winning record of any mascot in UGA history. UGA VI was buried in a vault in the southwest corner of Sanford Stadium with his predecessors on June 28, 2008.I had an opportunity to meet UGA VI during the 2005 homecoming celebration at the law school. It was mad crazy when he arrived, as every man, woman, and child wanted to pet and take a picture with the famed pooch. He never barked, growled, or even acted scared. He simply stood and laid there and let all his fans get their moment of attention. UGA VI you will be missed. Sonny Seiler will introduce UGA VII prior to the 2008 football season.
