The Atlanta Falcons signed #3 overall pick Matt Ryan to a $72 million, six-year contract. Ryan is guranteed $34.75 million, which is $4.75 million more than that given to #1 overall pick Jake Long.Ryan’s signing ends all worry of any potential holdout and it fuels speculation that he’ll be the favorite heading into training camp for the starting quarterback position. Ryan will complete against Joey Harrington, Chris Redman, and D.J. Shockley.
