The Atlanta Dream will play their inaugural game on May 23 against the Detroit Shock. In addition watching great WNBA basketball, fans will be treated to a concert by teen pop sensation Sean Kingston. Although Dr. Smiles and I won’t be able to attend because we’re in the Cream City, but I encourage all metro Atlanta residents and Memorial Day visitors to go and support the new local team.
Additionally, I encourage all local media outlets, especially the sports talk radio stations to show the ladies some love and at least reference the team’s existence and their successes throughout the season because our female athletes are just as worthy of media attention as their male counterparts.
