If you’re a college basketball fan, then you have to expect the unexpected in the month of March because anything can happen on the hardwood. The University of Georgia men’s basketball team drove this point home as they unexpectedly won the Southeastern Conference basketball tournament. The Bulldogs entered the tournament with the #6 seed and ran the table, defeating Ole Miss 97-95, Kentucky 60-56, Mississippi State 64-60, and Arkansas 66-57. As a result of winning the tournament, the Dawgs are guaranteed an invitation to the NCAA tournament. UGA last won the SEC tournament in 1983.
