Obama’s Next Move
The competitive field as shrunk to two; Obama has shown that he has mass appeal and that he can draw a varied and diverse coalition of supporters and voters. He’s talked of hope and encouraged people to want change. Now, it’s time to lie the foundation of what that change will be. He needs to dive, not too deep, but deep enough to show a majority of Americans that he has what it takes to be the country’s CEO and commander in chief. I’m not suggesting that he make political promises that opponents will attack him on later, but rather that he detail a course of action for improving America ’s lagging economy and solving the Iraq problem. We need to hear him talk about the how his policies will jump start the economy, how his healthcare plan will help those without coverage, and how he plans to solve the Iraq problem.
