The New Hampshire primary is over and Senator Barack Obama finished a close and respectable second with 37% of the vote while Senator Hillary Clinton finished with 39% of the vote. John Edwards received 17% of the vote. The key lesson learned from the New Hampshire primary is that it will be hard fought struggle to obtain the Democratic presidential domination.
The other lesson learned is that both Clintons (Bill and Hillary) are willing to do and say whatever it takes to win. It appears that they’ve adopted a good cop / bad cop approach. Senator Clinton is the good cop, showing sensitivity and emotion while on the campaign trial, while former President Bill Clinton is the bad cop, calling Obama’s candidacy a “fairy tale” and challenging Obama’s motives behind opposing the war.
I’ve supported both Clintons throughout the years, and if Senator Clinton gets the nomination, I’ll probably vote for her, but I do not like the fact that Senator Clinton’s campaign is based on a mistaken sense of entitlement. Just because she was an “active” First Lady doesn’t mean she’s anymore qualified than Senator Obama.
