Nevada Split
Senator Barack Obama and Senator Hillary Clinton battled to a split decision in Saturday’s Nevada’s primary. Obama won the delegate votes 13 to 12, while Clinton won the popular vote, 50% to 45%. John Edwards finished with 4% of the vote. Although Obama did not win the popular vote, he apparently polled extremely well with the African-American voters, gaining 83% of the vote. Obama hopes to take this moment into South Carolina were over half of the people voting in the primary will be African-American.
