Before I get started – I’m not really much of a baseball fan. I probably can name all the major league teams and I can appreciate the athletic ability of a guy hitting and/or throwing a 95 mph ball, but that’s about it. With all that being said, I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not above the recent hoopla concerning Barry Bonds’ almost certain breaking of baseball’s homerun record.
Last week the San Francisco Giants came to town and Chicago Jay and Kay Indy had extra tickets, so Swamps and I took them up on their invitation and attended the game in hopes that Barry would break the record before our very eyes in the Cream City. Unfortunately, Barry didn’t do it, but good times were had by all, as we had amazing tickets on the third base line, on the 14th row. Miller Park has an intimate feel and a retractable roof, so we got the best of both worlds – good baseball and great evening weather.
