King James at the Mountain

LeBron James and the rest of the Cleveland Cavilers stand at the base of the overwhelming NBA Championship mountain. They want to ascend to greatness, but there is one problem – Tim Duncan and the rest of the San Antonio Spurs are also seeking to ascend to greatness. There can only be one champion and tonight the journey begins.

I’m pulling for the Cavs, more specifically, I’m cheering for LeBron James to win the title because he has natural athletic ability, sound basketball fundamentals, and he seems to have embraced his superstar status and responsibility with a quiet charm and confidence, and he seems to really appreciate the fans.

It’s hard to believe, but King James is one of the few professional athletes who have lived up to the hype. The media has been saying he’s the second-coming of Michael Jordan since he was a junior in high school. Now, at 22 years old, he’s in contention to win his first NBA title and he isn’t even fully developed as a player or man. His potential to dominant basketball is scary. If James wins an NBA championship, he definitely will be on his way to being this generation’s greatest player.

The Cavs put in a good first effort, but LeBron is going to have to step up his game if the want to beat the Spurs. He's settling for too many jump shots. Take it to the hole young man. Additionally, the Cavs need to set some picks to free LeBron.
