Setting the Suns

On Friday night the Atlanta Hawks stunned the Phoenix Suns 120 – 111 in a come-from-behind victory at the sold out U.S. Airways Center in Arizona. This was only the second time the Suns have lost at home to an Eastern Conference team this season. This game showcased the Baby Birds emerging talent, as Joe Johnson scored 32 points; Josh Childress had 19 points and 5 rebounds; Josh Smith had 25 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 blocks; Marvin Williams contributed 16 points;, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals, and Zaza Pachulia finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds. The Hawks shot 52% from the floor (42 of 81) and limited the Suns to 16 fast break points.

It felt good watching the Baby Bird duke it out with one of the elite Western Conference teams. The Hawks the have the potential and talent to become an Eastern Conference playoff team, now they need to develop the consistency to win on a nightly basis.
