Phillips Arena is a wonderful venue for professional basketball because even the upper level seats provide an excellent view of the court. The home town Hawks took the court against the visiting New York Knicks and put the 102 – 92 beat down on them. Although Joe Johnson lived up to his multimillion dollar contact, scoring 30 points, 4 rebounds, 8 assist and 1 block, my PiB game ball goes to center Zaza Pachulia who had 22 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assist and 1 steal. Pachulia gets the game ball because he played with heart – diving for balls, playing defense, and banging in the paint.
My next Baby Birds game is December 1 when they play against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
