Today is officially my last day in the Classic City. It’s been an amazing run – good friends, downtown parties, football, a fiancé, and a law degree, but as they say – all good things must come to an end. I’m going to really miss Athens because it’s such a perfect college town. The community is centered on the University of Georgia, businesses battle for student dollars, and there’s something for everyone. If I wanted sports, UGA’s got you covered, if I wanted spoken word, Hot Corner’s hits the spot, if I wanted hip-hop, the Firehouse gets it started, and I could go on and on.
I’ll miss the Classic City but I’m looking forward to new adventures in the Carpet Capital, my new place of residence. For the first time ever, I’ll be living in the heart of the city, overlooking the masses and a stone’s throw from my place of employment. I’m staying in a nicely renovated loft with lots of natural light, hardwood floors, and exposed brick. It’s too sweet!
In other news, my computer came back, so I’m in the process of getting everything put back on it. Once I do, I’ll post pictures of graduation, the loft, and other images of the Carpet Capital.
