Today, I finally made it out to the Soccer Complex to cheer on the Lady Dog Soccer team as they took on Pitt. The Lady Dogs won 2-0 and are currently 6-0 on the season. This is their best start since 1997.
Junior defender Missy Vierling scored the first goal of the match, her second goal of the season. Senior forward Erin Sekerak netted the Bulldogs' second goal of the night early in the second half.
The soccer complex is beautiful. The pitch looks great and there were lots of cheering fans in the stadium. If you look closely at the picture above, you'll notice that the men's swim team made a special appearance. There's more to UGA sports than football, so if you haven't made it to see the women soccer team, you should check it out because it's great fun!
