Weekend One

Schools back in session, with that comes LOTS of work mixed with some fun. Here’s how the weekend played out:

Friday:

I met up with Slick and Wubbya at the Taco Mac and lavished in the glow of the three large screen televisions. We watched the Falcons v. the Titans, the Braves v. the Padres, and a random tennis match. After that we headed back to their apartment and watched Frank Miller’s Sin City. If you like Frank Miller (see Batman: Return of the Dark Knight) then you’ll love this movie. The black / white mixed with funky color highlights of red and yellow make for an interesting visual picture. Although extremely violent, the violence ties well with the story. I’ll give it a B+.

Saturday:

The day started with studying in the morning and a kick behind dinner party in the evening hosted by Amies and Ash. Those girls can cook some Italian food! They topped it off with chocolate fondue with strawberries, pound cake, and brownies. Two words: GOOD EATING! We also sung some karaoke.

Sunday:

Relaxing with Swamps and an overwhelming shopping trip to Wal-Mart.*

* Later in the week I’ll post on how Wal-Mart is really your one stop shop for everything.
