#10 Georgia 17, Auburn 13

The Bulldogs make it three in a row against Auburn in the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry. I wish we could consistently beat Florida like this. The game wasn’t pretty, but the Bulldogs did just enough in the fourth quarter by scoring a touchdown and making a defensive stop. Quarterback Matthew Stafford finished 15 of 24 for 215 yards and 2 touchdowns. Tailback Knowshon Moreno rushed for 131 yards on 22 carriers and caught a touchdown pass. Freshman wide receiver A.J. Green continued to make big plays when the Dawgs needed him to by catching a game-winning touchdown and finishing with 81 yards. Senior wide received Mohammad Massaquoi continued to play inspired football by making touch catches in traffic by finishing with 61 yards.

Georgia’s off this coming week. Hopefully, we can get healthy and add some new wrinkles in the game plan for the big cross-state rivalry game against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Tech’s been playing some good football this season and I know Paul Johnson is looking to make a big impact on the Yellow Jacket faithful by attempting an upset over Georgia. One thing’s for sure, Georgia needs to shore up the defense if they hope to finish with a 10 win season.
