My Return

It seems like lots of things have happened since my last post. First, Dr. Smiles and I moved from Cream City, Wisconsin to Geranium City, Georgia. The move itself wasn’t so bad. It only consisted of the two of us packing a one and half bedroom apartment while loading a U-Haul in, driving 14 hours to Georgia and unloading the U-Haul. The road trip itself was the best part – the American countryside is so beautiful. I encourage everyone to do some cross country driving.

Football season is almost here. The Atlanta Falcons preseason has started and the Birds are showing some improvement from last season. I know expectations are low this year, but hopefully we can surprise some teams and win some games. My impression of Matt Ryan is still pending, but in the two games I’ve seen him, he’s showed promise and if he can win the trust of his teammates, we may have a legitimate quarterback. In other quarterback news, I hope former UGA standout D.J. Shockley makes the team.

Speaking of UGA, the Bulldogs are ranked #1 in both the AP Poll and the Coach’s Poll and I’m so excite for the season to start. I hope the Dawgs are ready to live up to their expectations and bring a national title to Classic City. The bullseye will be big and the spotlight bright, but I believe that Coach Mark Richt and the entire team will be up to the challenge. Knowshon Moreno is dark horse candidate for the Heisman.

On a more personal note, Dr. Smiles and I celebrated our one year anniversary. Dr. Smiles is the best wife a man can ask for and I’m thankful that God blessed me with her. I look forward to a life time of happiness.
