Raw is Presidential

Presidential hopefuls Senator Hillary Clinton, Senator Barack Obama, and Senator John McCain made a special appearance on World Wrestling Entertainment’s Monday Night Raw. All three candidates cut promos appealed to the fans for votes. Senator Clinton adopted the moniker “Hill-Rod” and said come November, “the last man standing might just be a woman” and that she was ready to drop the “people’s elbow” on the competition. Senator Obama side that he was ready to be the “King of the Ring”, and then simply asked, “Do you smell what Barack is cooking?” Senator John McCain started with, “If you want to be the man, you got to beat the man” and end saying, come November it will be “game over.”

After the candidates finished there promos, the WWE offered its own version of Barack versus Hillary with impersonators of Hillary, Bill, and Barack. It started out with Hillary and Bill coming out the Hulk Hogan’s Real American Hero. Hillary’s trying to talk to the crowd while Bill’s doing his best Hulk Hogan impersonation and upstaging her until she puts him in his place. As this is going on, Barack comes out to the Rock’s “Do you smell what I’m cooking” and commences to putting Bill in his place. This goes on until the inevitable happens; a knock down drag out fight between Barack and Hillary, with Hillary giving Obama the Hogan leg drop and Obama giving her the Rock Bottom. They continue to fight until an independent, wrestler Umaga comes down and destroys both Barack and Hillary. This was the funniest political gag of the race to 08. The WWE is the best!
