The Atlanta Hawks suffered a serious beat down last night at the hands of the Boston Celtics. After nine years of playoff no shows, the Birds decided that one more game wouldn’t hurt them as Boston stomped them down 104 – 81. Starting point guard Mike Bibby shot a horrible 2 of 10 and finished with 5 points and 1 assist. The rest of the team shot a combined 14 of 49 and at one point trailed by as many as 27 points.
The only Hawks’ player who decided to show up and play was rookie Al Hortford, who finished with 20 points on 7 of 10 shooting, 10 rebounds, and blocked shot. Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday in Boston and hopefully the entire Hawks team will finally make their playoff debut and make this series competitive and entertaining.

I believe your title is misrepresentation of the facts. You imply by "Boston Beat Down" that Boston was the one that was defeated. To clarify--consider "Boston Delivers Beat Down" instead of giving people inflated hopes that the Hawks may actually be able to pull off a victory. Please be more careful and accurate in the future.
You have a point. I guess it should read something like "Boston Beats Down Birds."
