Georgia Spring Football

The University of Georgia Bulldogs hit the practice field for the team’s first scrimmage on this coming Saturday. Coach Mark Richt will use the scrimmage to evaluate talent. All eyes will be focused on who’ll become the number two running back behind Knowshon Moreno. The current battle involves last year’s high profile recruit and current redshirt freshman Caleb King and midyear additions Dontavius Jackson and Richard Samuel. Coach Richt also states that new recruit Carlton Thomas may be thrown in the mix.

Coach Richt states that the current players vying for the number two position currently lack the energy that Moreno brings to the practice field. Currently Moreno is being held out of practice because UGA doesn’t want to risk injury to him and the coach’s have already seen his skills in action.
