MLK

“We must all learn to live together as brothers, or we shall perish together as fools.”

Today celebrates the life Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who was many things to America – a visionary and agent of hope. He envisioned an America were all people were treated equally and encouraged all people to believe that this hope could become a reality. King was an advocate. He lobbied for the oppressed and gave a voice to the disenfranchised, by speaking the truth about the circumstances of poor and Black Americans. King was an agitator. He publicly challenged the status quo by questioning the moral and legal validity of segregation and racism. Most importantly, King was a hero.
