Time Magazine released its annual “Most Influential People in the World” issue and surprisingly – United States President George W. Bush is not on the list. Although I along with most of America are not supporters of President Bush; I find it rather interesting that he is absent from the list because he’s the leader of the world’s strongest democratic superpower.
Just being the president of the U.S. should garner tremendous respect and world influence. His lone ranger approach to world diplomacy, his constant cuts to domestic social programs, and his overall mismanagement of government has rightfully chipped away some of the prestige of him being the U.S. President., but there is no way in the world his individual actions and his lame duck status should ever overshadow the importance and influence of the office he controls.
