My beloved hapless Atlanta Hawks hit the jackpot tonight and won the rights to the number three pick in the NBA draft. Additionally, the Baby Birds also received the rights to the number 11 pick. If the proper talent is selected, then the Hawks could be on the road to glory.
Unfortunately, general manager Billy Knight and rest of the Hawks upper management have a terrible trend of making bad picks in the NBA draft. I’d personally like to see the Hawks make moves by either trading players or trading the 3rd and11th pick for the number one pick. Just imagine 7-foot Greg Oden in a Hawks uniform playing with All-Star Joe Johnson and up-and-coming Josh Smith. Go Baby Birds!
