Fred Gibson

Former University of Georgia wide receiver Fred Gibson has signed a free-agent contract with the Atlanta Falcons. Gibson has only been in the NFL for one year and has already been bounced around the league. Gibson was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth round with the 131st pick in the 2005 draft. Unfortunately, he was cut during the Steelers’ 2005 training camp, but he subsequently bounced back by signing with the Miami Dolphins as a member of the practice squad. Hopefully, Gibson will find his niche with the Birds and help our drop prone wide receivers get on track. The only problem with Gibson was he was drop prone while at UGA.
