Greater Atlanta Christian High School running back Caleb King announced his intent to sign an athletic scholarship with the University of Georgia. As a high school junior in 2005-2006, King was the top-rated running back prospect in the nation according to Rivials.com, when he rushed for 2,768 yards, the sixth-highest total in Georgia history.
As a senior, King’s rating dropped to number 73 in the country because of a leg injury, which required arthroscopic surgery. The injury limited him to only playing in seven games, where he rushed for 939 yards. King stands 5’11 and weights 208 pounds, and has been clocked at 4:32 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
