Who Wants a Beat Down?

The Oregon State Beavers apparently got scared and backed out a three game series with the Georgia Bulldogs. They were scheduled to be our first opponent of the 2007 football season. The big question now becomes who should UGA schedule to replace them? When asked, Georgia players Jeff Owen, defensive end, and Kelin Johnson, safety, said Athletic Director Damon Evens should schedule someone big, perhaps a former number one ranked team. I agree with them. It’s time the Bulldogs make a statement by beating a traditional top tier team. Just imagine a one home and one away game series with the Michigan Wolverines, the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Southern California Trojans, the Texas Longhorns, or the West Virginia Mountaineers. Each of the above referenced teams have either won a national title or won their division the last couple of years. I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t know what we’ll look like next season, but I can guarantee that a win over any of the above schools will put us in the 2007 national title picture. Who do you think the Dawgs should open the 2007 season with?
