Tonight I make my triumphant return to the Classic City for a law conference. This will be my first trip to Athens since I moved away in late May early June. Hopefully while I’m there I’ll get to stop by all my favorite spots and walk thru the university and reminisce about my former fancy free graduate school life, if you can truly call my time at UGA fancy free, especially since I spent most nights at the library studying or thinking about studying.
Falls were always fun in Athens because of football. There’s nothing like 98,000+ people tailgating and going to the ballgame. The city is draped in red and black and everyone has a common goal – cheering on the bulldogs to victory. If things go according to plans, I’ll have home season tickets and I’ll be able to truly enjoy the games because I won’t have to worry about pre-game and post-game studying. Football the way it was supposed to be experienced.
