The Czech Republic defeated the United States 3-0 in their World Cup opener. Jan Koller and Tomas Rosicky scored for the Czech Republic. According to Regal Raj, my homeboy who flew all the way to Germany to see the game, the U.S. looked lethargic and out classed. They made key mistakes and Czech Republic capitalized in major ways.
As a fan of the national team, this was a disappointing start. This was supposed to be our most talented team and we fell flat in our opener. I’ll give the guys the benefit of the doubt, their young and for many of them, this was their first match on the biggest stage in the world. Hopefully, they’ll bounce back on Saturday against traditional powerhouse Italy.
Go U.S.A.!
