D.J. Shockley - A Georgia Boy Through and Through

I'm really excited about the Falcons drafting D.J. Shockley. He's a character guy and I think it speaks volumes about a guy when he stays at his school so he can play in the red and black as oppose to transfering anywhere else. Don't get it twisted, Shockley could've transfered to almost any Division I football program and been a starter on day one, but he chose to stay at UGA. That's loyality. I'm glad he got an SEC Championship for his hardwork. I only wish the defense didn't let him down in the Sugar Bowl.

Shockley's living a sport's fantasy. How many guys have been ranked the top high school quarterback in their state, get to play on a Sugar Bowl championship Division I football team at the state's flagship university, and then have an opportunity to play for state's professional football team? That's really cool. I'm glad Shockley's back in red, that's where he's suppose to be.
