All-Time Altanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks haven't been to the NBA playoffs in some time. It's really a shame, the fine citizens of the State of Georgia deserve playoff basketball. If the Milwaukee Bucks, who was last year's worst team, can make the playoffs this season with the addition of a lottery pick, then we should be able to do it next year. Our Current roster isn't a who's who of NBA greats, but Atlanta has had some great players come through our system. Suppose we have an All-Time Hawks team, here's what the roster would look like:

Guards:
  1. Lenny Wilkens: 6'1", 1968, 30yrs old, 20.0 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 8.3 apg. Hall of fame point guard during the Hawks' St. Louis days.
  2. Lou Hudson: 6'5, 1973, 28yrs old, 27.1 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 3.4 apg. Sweet Lou was six-time All-Star.
  3. Steve Smith: 6'7, 1998, 28yrs old, 20.1 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 4.0 apg. Consistent shooter and all around good player.

Foward / Guards:

  1. John Drew: 6'6, 1978, 23yrs old, 23.2 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 2.0 apg. Efficient player.
  2. Cliff Hagan: 6'4, 1960, 28yrs old, 24.8 ppg, 10.7 rpg, 4.0 apg. Hall of Fame player from the Hawks' St. Louis days.

Forwards:

  1. Dominique Wilkins: 6'7, 1986, 26yrs old, 30.3 ppg, 7.9 rpg, 2.6 apg. The Human Highlight Film and Hall of Famer. Led NBA in scoring in 1986 and 2nd three other times.
  2. Kevin Willis: 7'0, 1992, 29yrs old, 18.3 ppg, 15.5 rpg, 2.1 apg. He was a rebounding machine.

Centers:

  1. Dikembe Mutombo: 7'2, 1998, 31yrs old, 13.4 ppg, 11.4 rpg, 1.0 apg. Defensive player of the in 1998.
