It's offical boys and girls, I'm offically licensed (sort of) to practice law under the Georgia Third Year Practice Act. The rule read as follows:
Rule 91. An authorized third-year law student, when under the supervision of a district attorney, a solicitor general of a state court, a solicitor of a municipal court, a public defender, or a licensed practicing attorney who works or volunteers for a court or for a not-for-profit organization which provides free legal representation to indigent persons or children may assist in proceedings within this state as if admitted and licensed to practice law in this state.
What this means is I can practice law in a limited capacity under the direct supervision of an attorney. I can argue before the court, conduct hearings, and even submit pleadings. This is a big deal, I guess you could say this is my second step to becoming an attorney. The first step was me passing the MPRE.
Judge John Stevens, a Superior Court judge for the Western Circuit administered the oath. I'm pictured above with him.
