It’s always hard getting back into the school grind because your days seem to get longer and longer and seem to fill up quicker than an email box getting spam mail. For instance, your base schedule looks easy enough: several classes followed by several hours at the legal clinic each day. But then you have to add in school related activities like mock trial and club memberships. I can’t forget travel time and other notorious time stealers like checking email and chatting with your friends. Next thing you know, its 7:30 p.m. and you’re just getting home to eat dinner and start your homework.
The positive about starting school is everyday has the legitimate possibility of being completely different than the one before it. Student life can be completely random at times. You see and meet new people who have unique lives and if your class offers class decision, then you never know what someone might say. For example, in one of my classes we were discussing relationships and one guy said, “I don’t have a girlfriend because smart girls know better than to date a guy like me, and dumb girls won’t date me because they know they can do better.”
