World Cup – Germany 2006

The journey towards soccer’s ultimate prize started today as the World Cup Soccer Committee drew the group assignments for the 32 national teams vying for the world’s greatest champion. The United States are lumped with perennial soccer power Italy and newcomers Ghana and Czech Republic. Unfortunately, the U.S. has never beaten Italy in a World Cup match, but on the bright side – we’ve never played Ghana or the Czech Republic, so we still may have a chance of advancing.
