Falcons Fall in OT

The only part about being in Texas for the holidays is not being able to see the Falcons play. Our local game was the Dallas Cowboys v. the Carolina Panthers. The Cowboys pulled out a tough one. Anyway, according to Miguel Lebonon the Falcons put up a great effort, but fell short in OT 24-27 and as a result, they're out the playoffs. This is a sad day for Falcons fans. Atlanta has never made the playoffs in consecutive years.

Michael Vick went 16 of 26 for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns. He had 61 rushing yards. Warrick Dunn had 59 rushing yards, T.J. Duckett had 1 rushing touchdown, Alge Crumpler had 63 receiving yards, and Michael Jenkins had 54 receiving yards and 1 touchdown, and Todd Peterson had 1 field goal.

I'm sad that Atlanta won't be making it to the playoffs, I had them picked to win the Super Bowl. This season showed that we need to make some adjustments on defense, especially with run. Hopefully, we'll get a get draft pick and pickup a stud defensive player in the draft. We also could use an offensive line upgrade, so Vick can have some more time in the pocket.

Congrats to the Falcons on a good season. Next week they play the Carolina Panthers at the Dome. If they win, they'll at least have back-to-back winning seasons, which would be a franchise first.
