My computer has become temperamental. It shuts off when it wants to and without warning. It doesn’t matter what I’m doing. I’m in class taking notes – SMACK – black computer screen. I’m on the internet – WAM – computer's dead. Or worst, maybe I’m updating PiB, which doesn’t have an auto save function – BLAM – you’ve just lost your draft.
Since my computer's been acting crazy, I decided to handwrite my exams so I wouldn’t have to worry about my computer randomly shutting down. Well, today I had to write my exam on my computer. My professor decided that every student had to take an electronic exam and that he wouldn’t accept any handwritten exams. Since the exam was electronic, he made the exam a timed, take home, open notes test. In other words, my teacher allowed us to take the exam anywhere we wanted, and at exactly 8:00 a.m. he would email the final and we’d have 3 hours to complete and email it back to him from any computer.
Initially, it bothered me a little because I wondered what would happen if my computer shut off while I took the exam, but I quickly dismissed this notion. Clearly, my computer wouldn’t betray me when I needed him the most. Me being the lawyerly type, I decided I’d take my final at the library, so I’d have several backup computers just in case mine stopped working.
At 7:55 a.m. I was at the general library and ready to go. I inserted my wireless card and guess what – it wouldn't pick up the library’s wireless network where I was sitting. So, I had to move. Oh yeah, I forgot my computer battery, so I was on A/C power so I had to shutdown my computer to find a new work space. By 8:05 a.m., I'd moved to a new place, and my wireless card worked. I logged into my email and right as a I go to click on the final, my computer SHUTS OFF! The screen goes black and I’m about 0.05 seconds away from chunking my computer out the 5th floor window! By 8:10 a.m., my computer finally decides to work again, but guess work – my wireless card won’t register with the network. I'm speechless. I can’t move because I don’t have my battery, so I make the executive decision to move from the general library to the law library where I know my wireless works. Just in case you’re wondering – I was at the general library because my test included Wall Street Journal questions, and the general library has every WSJ for the pass year. By 8:20 a.m. I’m finally ready to take my final at the law library.
Thankfully, I finished the final within the 3 hour time limit.

that sounded exciting and gives you a valid excuse if you didnt fair well on the exam. but it sounds like you need to cash in on the extended warranty for a new computer because it could be a real costly problem that your experiencing.
