#5 Georgia 38, Auburn 0

The Georgia Bulldogs' annual match up against the Auburn Tigers is one of my favorite games of the season.  I have always considered the Auburn rivalry as a friendly rivalry with fan bases who are similar and cordial.  Prior to this game, I did not expect the Bulldogs to completely dominate the Tigers 38-0.  This was never a contest as UGA scored on its first four possession and the defense completely manhandled the War Eagle offense.

Quarterback Aaron Murray continued to shine, finishing 18 of 24 for 208 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Murray distributed the ball perfectly.  He hit King (73 yards and 1 touchdown); Mitchell (47 yards and 1 touchdown); Conley (32 yards and 1 touchdown); Lynch (29 yards); Rome (17 yards); and Gurley (10 yards).

"Gurshall" - the dominate running backs Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall both went over a 100 yards rushing.  Gurley finished with 116 yards and 1 touchdown and Marshall finished with 105 yards and 1 touchdown.  Both of these guys should earn All-SEC honors.

The G-Day Defense pitched a shut out.  Jarvis Jones added another sack to his total and moves closer to breaking the sack record set by All-American defensive end David Pollack.  Bacarri Rambo added some hard hits and an interception.

The night ended with Georgia clinching the SEC East Title for the second consecutive year.  The Dawgs will likely play Alabama in the championship game in Atlanta.  At the beginning of the year I hoped this would be a special season.  If UGA keeps it up, it will be.
