Police Interaction Facts

  2. Across the U.S., over 10% of Black drivers stopped by police were likely to be searched or have their vehicle searched, as opposed to 3.5% of White drivers stopped by police.
  3. From 1995 to 2000, there were almost 10,000 cases of police using excessive force reported in the U.S. African-Americans made up 45% of them.
