Last week the national media heavily criticized Michael Vick because of his 16.3 quarterback rating against the New York Jets. The talking heads attempted to create tension in the Atlanta locker room by saying the team wins despite Vicks’ play, almost suggesting that second year backup quarterback Matt Schaub should start over Vick, but thankfully Atlanta Falcons Coach Jim Mora dissipated the negative media saying the Falcons were completely committed to Michael Vick because as a starting quarterback he does one thing – WIN! Of all the active quarterbacks in the league, Vick has the third most wins in the league. Today was no exception – the Atlanta Falcons beat the Miami Dolphins 17-10 at Dolphins Stadium. Michael Vick went 22 of 31 for 228 yards, 1 touchdown, a QB rating of 102.6, and rushed for 38 yards. National media get the picture – Vick may be inconsistent at times but he is a legitimate superstar quarterback because he wins. Warrick Dunn rushed for 88 yards and 1 touchdown and Justin Griffith had 20 yards rushing.
The Atlanta wide receiver corps had a great game, lead by Brian Finneran with 92 receiving yards and 1 touchdown. Rookie Roddy “Rowdy” White got his first start and had 50 yards, and tight end “Mr. Hands” Alge Crumpler had 65 yards. The Falcons defense continued to dominate and safety Keion Carpenter had a key interception at a critical moment during the fourth quarter. Todd Peterson also added a 21 yard field goal.
Next Week: The Green Bay "Fake G" Packers travel to the Georgia Dome to take on the hometown Atlanta Falcons.

Yesterdays game was a great one for the falcons offensively. even though at times it seems as if atlanta tried to give the game away with fumbles and the defense could not stop Ronnie Brown at all. I was really impressed with Roddy White simply because he made a couple of great catches and showed glimpses of what the falcons have been looking for at the wide out position for since they released Andre Rison long ago.
Whatever happen to Andre Rison? Dude was great until Left Eye burned down his house.
The Pulsar was a great car, it was great on gas, had T-tops, and was a cool red. I have some extra money saved up, maybe I'll devert it from the _____ fund, and buy me a replacement Pulsar.
