But in the end, Georgia was too much for the Cinderella Commodores. D.J. Shockley continued to play brilliantly going 15 of 30 for 298 yards and three touchdowns, one interception, and 22 yards rushing. Why isn’t this man getting any Heisman hype?
Running back Thomas Brown added 91 rushing yards; Danny Ware contributed 20 yards, and the Georgia wide receiving core lead by true freshman Mohamad Massaquoi made some big 3rd down catches. As usual, the G-Unit defense led by monster hitter Greg Blue (pictured below)brought the pain.

Georgia scorers: Kraig Lumpkin, 9 yard touchdown run, Brannan Sutherland, 10 yard touchdown catch, Brandon Coutu, 40 yard and 28 yard field goals, Mohamad Massaquoi, 6 yard touchdown catch, and Bryan McClendon, 18 yard touchdown catch.
The Georgia Bulldogs control there SEC East destiny. They are two games ahead of their closest opponent Florida, and now the only team that can trip them up is themselves. Hopefully, the team will rest up, especially since we loss key defensive player Kedric Goldston, and get focus as we hit the toughest stretch of the schedule, with key games against archrivals Florida, Auburn, and Georgia Tech.Next Week: The Bulldogs will be between the Hedges to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks for Homecoming.

#9 Notre Dame came within 3 seconds of defeating #1 Southern California (USC). The Matt Leinhart legends gets bigger every week. I typically don't cheer for the Irish (although I'm Black Irish) because I'm a Bulldog fan, but I was hoping they'd knockout USC, so UGA would have a better chance of going to the Rose Bowl.
#4 Florida State loss a tough one to Virginia. This helps Georgia, so we should move up in the polls to at least #4 and if we're lucky #3.
The BCS standings are out and it makes no sense. How can Norte Dame take USC to the limit and not be out the top ten? How can there be 6 SEC teams in the top 25, and there is strong possibility that if a SEC team goes undefeated (again - see Auburn last year) this year they'll be shut out the National Title game?

2. Texas
3. Virginia Tech

20. Florida
Both the bulldogs and crimson tide have plenty of quality opponents left to play to lift their strength in schedule, Georgia plays Florida, Auburn, and GA tech, while Alabama plays TN, LSU, and Auburn. But can you imagine what the mood would be in Atlanta come Dec 3 if undefeated Alabama is playing undefeated UGA--and neither is yet in the position to go to the Rose Bowl???
