Sneaker Wars

Nike watch your back. Adidas is posed to purchase Reebok for $3.8 billion. This will give Adidas 20% of the U.S. market. Adidas is popular among soccer and track and field, while Reebok is popular in basketball, football, and leisure. Insiders say both companies will remain “separate” brands, with Adidas focusing on technology and performance while Reebok will focus on sales. See the AJC for more on this story.
